I start thinking where my pizza stone is and come to realize, I have no idea.

What's up with that? I get online and start searching around and find several to choose from. Without a good barbecue tool kit you really can't have fun when you barbecue. A good barbecue tool kit is important because it is the tool you use to handle the food on the grill. Without it you will make a big mess of your barbecue.

There are lots of barbecue tool kits but if I may suggest, simply stick to a simple but functional barbecue tool kit. You really don't need the expencive sets with tons of gadgets. All you need is a simple three piece barbecue tool kit. Tongs, fork and turner are all you need. Anything more is not necessary to have a successful barbecue.

You do need to be sure you get a barbecue tool kit with soft type handles and be sure they are insulated. Wooden handles are ok but I prefer this
KitchenAid® Barbecue Utensil Set, 3 pc.
Once you have your barbecue tool kit, all you need it the secret barbecue sauce.

Chef Prepared Meals

What could be better than this after a long day at the office. It is well known for its non-stick surfaces that are unusual because they are made of anodized aluminum as opposed to Teflon, which if far more common a coating substance for non-stick pans. Calphalon cookware has increased in popularity, and the appeal of a no-stick frying pan is doubly attractive to those cooks who especially like to fry.

You might hear a lot of this type of cookware referred to as "hard-anodization" cookware. That phrase "hard-anodization" refers to the electro-chemical process the company uses to harden the aluminum that they use to make their cookware. Through the use of chemicals and electric pulses, the aluminum used for Calphalon becomes far harder than ordinary aluminum, allowing the material to be used for cooking. This treatment also makes the surface of the cookware resistant to damage through abrasion or corrosion. In theory, a piece of this cookware that has gone through the hard-anodization process will be one of the most durable pans you can possibly buy.

If the process worries you, lay your fears to rest. The cookware goes through this anodization process is stable, so there will never be any chemicals or anything harmful coming off the pan into the food. There is nothing toxic, and high heat will not damage the finish or the pan. One of the most important parts of this process, which is also a major selling point for this cookware, is that the hard anodizing makes the surfaces smooth by eliminating the tiny pores that most other cookware has. This is what makes these pans non-stick.

Even though Calphalon cookware is designed to be non-stick, no cookware is perfect in that regards, so there are still several steps that need to be taken in order to ensure maximizing the no stick properties. One action that helps is to make sure to take some of the chill out of refrigerated foods before cooking. Usually leaving food out for as little as ten to fifteen minutes can be enough. Another important factor is to preheat pans over medium heat, not high. Aluminum conducts heat very well, so warming it on high will make the pan too hot, because it will not cool down after you turn the burner down. As little as one or two minutes will be enough to pre-heat.

Keep in mind that it is made of aluminum. Even when frying foods, usually a medium heat is far better than a high heat because the pan conducts heat so well. Frying food on high heat can make the pan so hot that it burns the food, which will then stick. In addition, always make sure to keep your cookware clean. Dried food will always cause more sticking, aside from sanitary issues. Keep your Calphalon cookware clean and in good shape, and it will serve you for years to come!

Still looking for the perfect cookware? When your tenderloin is done, remove from the oven and let sit for five minutes before slicing.

Serve with your favorite southwestern side dish and enjoy a great Southwestern Style Stuffed Tenderloin!

Remember to enjoy your favorite wine with any meal.
Wine Collections

Great Copycat Recipes

When you go to your favorite restaurant and have a great meal, do ever wish you had the recipe? Are the loud crowds just too much? Then why don't you cook it yourself instead of eating out?

Some of our favorite restaurant recipes are really not that hard to make. Infact, many of them are quite simple. All you have to know to make your favorite restaurant recipe is to know what goes in it. The rest is easy.

When you cook your own favorite restaurant recipe at home, you never have to worry about the crowds. Oh, and one other thing, you can make it for a lot less than eating out.

That's just one more reason I suggest you should get your list of your favorite restaurant recipes today.

Enjoy,
Ocha

What Makes Great Kitchen Cutlery?

Do you enjoy cooking but have a hard time with the preperation because your cutlery is substandard? A great set of kitchen cutlery can make your cooking experience much more enjoyable and can also reduce your prep time.

How do you know which brands to choose? Which set is right for you? Here are a few things you should consider when selecting great kitchen cutlery.

First consider how much time you spend in the kitchen cooking. If all you are doing is cooking meals from a package, then you only need a couple of basic kitchen knives. On the other hand, if every meal is gourmet, then you need a high quality set of kitchen cutlery designed with expertise precision and performance.

Consider the cutting edge for example. Each blade should have a specially polished cutting edge that is very fine and extremely sharp. The blade should also be light and feature a half bolster which makes the knife more agile and reduces fatigue.

Though several brands of cutlery may have these features, I feel the Wusthof 8-pc. Le Cordon Bleu Cutlery Set is one of the best you can buy. This is a great set for beginner cooks as well as a seasoned professional. These knives are wonderful. Highly recommended.

You owe it to yourself to own a great kitchen cutlery set if you are serious about your cooking. Once you use a fine set of knives like the Wusthof, you will know what makes a great set of kitchen cutlery.

Enjoy your cooking!
Ocha
<img alt="Wusthof 8-pc. And the fruits and vegies? No way.

That always seems like just a bunch of bull, but it is about a $15Billion dollar industry. So, somebody is buying all this "organic food."

So what makes meat, poultry, eggs and vegies organic anyway. There is an abundance of food shipped from all corners of the earth to American supermarkets and selections this time of year are great.

Two of my favorite foods are pork and apples. When cooked together they offer up a really great taste and make a very nutritional meal.

Today’s pork cuts are much leaner containing much less fat. And apples, they are a powerhouse of nutritional value. Packed with vitamins A and C, they also contain flavonoids, a powerful antioxidant compound that help fight off several diseases.

This recipe, “Apple-Glazed Pork Chops” is one that you have to try.
